South Asian OT Experience Episode 2: Dating as an Occupation

The second episode of the South Asian Occupational Therapy Experience explores dating and marriage in the South Asian cultural context with considerations for occupational therapy practice. We didn't get into this in the episode, but divorce is still uncommon in South Asian culture. Many South Asian's can feel trapped in their marriages, and that divorce is not an option, even in domestic abuse situations, leading to depression and trauma. Divorce can cause shame, guilt, and even rejection from family and friends.
