South Asian OT Experience Episode 4: Children of Immigrants
The fourth episode of the South Asian Occupational Therapy Experience discusses the lived experience of children of immigrants in the context of occupation. This episode was recorded in March, before the most recent racialized violence and mass murders occurred. This episode was not intentionally delayed; life just got in the way. We got into many critical conversations around racism, some that weren't recorded, including being targeted for violent hate crimes. Communities of color are mourning and have been in pain for a long time despite constantly working to survive and thrive. We hope you hear our stories and are inspired to consider culture and lived experience in the care you offer.
